Director Sujeeth, whose recent film They Call Him OG grossed about Rs 300 crore at the box office, is in the news for a personal sacrifice he made during its filming. Pawan Kalyan’s gesture The sacrifice came to light recently when OG's hero, actor-politician Pawan Kalyan, gifted him a luxury car (Land Rover Defender) worth Rs 3 crore. While star heroes like SRK have previously gifted luxury cars to filmmakers/artists, they were more tokens of appreciation. Among recent instances where something similar happened, Kamal Haasan gifted director Lokesh Kanagaraj a Lexus ES 300h (worth roughly Rs 65 lakh) after the success of Vikram in 2022. Kamal was so moved by Lokesh’s fan-boy dedication and the film's technical brilliance that he also gifted motorbikes to all 13 assistant directors.
